Handler had to turn into an actress to live. Handler began to do stand-up comedy full-time after she was 21. She had discovered that she was gifted with telling stories. Her career began with an acting gig in the cast that included all females on the Oxygen channel's reality television show Girls acting poorly. The show was a combination of hidden cameras as well as practical humor. The show was broadcast from 2002 to2005. Handler was a part of several shows, including Weekends at D.L.
