Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born December 2 the 2nd of December, 1968) is an American actress who is known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television movies. Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap drama General Hospital. From 2013 until 2022, she played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) Professor of Psychology, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.
She moved with her father as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and then attended Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer was a part of on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of a band. Her first television role was in the role of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap drama that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
